H&R Construction and Waterproofing is looking to hire a FULL-TIME/PART-TIME Construction Bid Estimator to its in-house estimating team. H&R Waterproofing, headquartered in Southern California, is a subcontractor for Waterproofing and has 30 years of contracting experience.

We are looking for a Construction Bid Estimator who is experienced, responsible and filled with a responsible and respectful attitude. He who applies must also have had experience with reading and understanding construction documents and plans. We are looking for someone who has the potential to expand and lead our construction bid estimating team through his determination and his diligence towards others. Beneficial for many estimators who don't aren't familiar with the field of waterproofing applications and general below-grade work.

The job role requires an analysis of assigned architectural, structural, and MEP drawings to arriving at workable models and ensure constructability. Checks for quality and accuracy of plans, extracts quantities, clash detection from other trades, analyzes scheduling and cost, resolve workforce conflicts, and creates documentation and representations for each project. Performs all functions and responsibilities in partnership with the company’s culture, corporate vision, ethics, and code of conduct.


What You Will Be Doing

1. Develop submission drawings and models based upon established procedures from various systems and suppliers

2. Prepare all needed internal technical documentation including but not limited to

Submission shop drawings in AutoCAD/BlueBeam
Fabrication drawings as needed in AutoCAD/BlueBeam

3D BIM Modeling and Coordination
Conceptual renderings in Sketchup
Project RFI's
3. Managing relationships, assignments, and schedule with outside clients

4. Provide a double-check of bid documents generated within the department

5. Manage companies bid forms and assist with preparing monthly bid analysis
Position Requirements
High School,   Less than 1 Year work experience
What You Need for this Position

Bachelor's degree preferred. Associate's degree or diploma from technical school minimum
1+ years of AutoCAD/Bluebeam experience is required
Must be able to read and interpret construction drawings
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office is required including Word, Excel, PowerPoint
Knowledge of Microsoft Project is a plus
