As a social media marketing Intern, you will collaborate with our bloggers in the marketing of all our campaigns. Your insightful ideas will help to develop, expand, and maintain all our social media platforms. This internship will help you gain digital marketing skills and provide you with the knowledge of various marketing strategies. Ultimately, you will gain broad experience in social media marketing and in different public relations strategies that will get you ready for a career in the fast-paced PR world.

This is an unpaid internship that can be used for experience and / or college credit to get you ready for a career in writing or marketing. Please read through to get a better understanding and see what our writers create.

We ask that you’re able to devote 10 hours per week (the same as a typical office internship). In the beginning we will meet a few times a week, then we’ll meet about once a month to discuss topics, new ideas, etc. Most corresponding will be done on the phone or through email.

All applicants must live in Los Angeles and able to commute to DTLA. No exceptions!

-Manage Social Media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Disqus, Pinterest, etc.) Including daily monitoring, posting, and content development.
-Submit innovative media campaigns ideas; create marketing campaigns; promote content
-Bring new, engaging and exciting ideas on how to market our channels / brand
-Follow blogging calendar when promoting posts
-Monitor and report on campaign performance and make improvement recommendations
-Respond to other blogs and engage with readers
-Monitor competitors and report
-Work closely with our bloggers; attend meetings, events, and photoshoots with the team
-Blogger and brand outreach
-Craft pitch emails; media kit; correspond with brands
-Take part in group articles (some blogging is required)
Position Requirements
-Enrolled in college or have a degree in PR, marketing, media studies, or a related field
-A fast learner; 1+ years of experience or a major in public relations or marketing are a big plus
-Reliable and professional with a strong work ethic
-Able to keep up with deadlines and follow our content calendar
-Possess innovative research skills
-Superior written and verbal communication skills
-Own a computer (most marketing will be done from home)
-Basic understanding of SEO (Google Analytics, focus keywords, etc.)
-Basic understanding of brand outreach and a plus if you already have an established relationship with lifestyle brands (fashion, beauty, etc.)
-A plus if you know how to use MailerLite and Tailwind
-Social media savvy with an active following
