This is a Permanent, Non Exempt Position:
Account Receivables Clerk
Principal duties included but are not limited to:
Responsible for generating invoices, tracking payments and resolving outstanding payment issues.
Provides customer service to other departments and to customers, including making collections calls.
Posts incoming customer payments by recording checks and credit card transactions in compliance with financial policies and procedures. May oversee the approval and denial of credit.
Prepares weekly and monthly reports in a timely manner, reconciles general ledger accounts and prepares basic audit schedules. Updates receivables by totaling unpaid invoices.
Organizes and maintains files for the Accounting Department.
Assist with special accounting projects as needed.
Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Protects organization's value by keeping information confidential.
Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities.
Accomplishes accounting and organization mission by completing related results as needed.
Qualifications, skills and experience
Solid understanding of basic accounting principles required.
Proven ability to calculate, post and manage figures and financial records.
Hands-on experience in operating spreadsheets and accounting software (knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains is a plus).
High school diploma required; Associate degree in accounting or finance preferred.
One to two years related experience and or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience.
Intermediate Excel (commonly used functions, date filtering, etc.) and Word skills.
Strong organizational skills with acute attention to detail; must be able to successfully prioritize work.
Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
Ability to enter data quickly and accurately.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions.
High dependable and punctual.
Salary: commensurate with experience/this is n non-exempt hourly position.
