Job Description

Essential Functions:

Warehouse Logistics Manager is primarily responsible for managing shipping, receiving, warehouse and ancillary receiving and shipping teams. This position partners with cross-functional managers to receive and ship out complete orders for the entire facility in a safe, timely, efficient manner. This leader will be responsible for overseeing team of clerks and warehouse workers.

This role will develop and execute a comprehensive material flow, shipping and warehousing plan designed to exceed customer requirements while keeping an eye on cost savings, inventories and productivity efficiencies to improve results. The Warehouse Logistics Manager will also be responsible for:

  • Managing off site warehouse capacity and cost;

  • Maintaining business relationships with logistics provider for domestic and international shipments.

  • Partnering with internal suppliers to drive rapid order completion to meet customer delivery

    Specific Responsibilities Include:

  • Material receiving value stream (receipt to internal delivery).

  • Material shipment value stream (finished goods to delivery to customer).

  • Manage clerks and warehouse operators through directing work effort and priorities.

  • Support Finance cycle counting programs and root cause corrective actions based on results.

  • Daily management of safety, quality, delivery, cost and inventory metrics.; including identify and implement cost / quality / inventory improvement actions.

  • Work with Supply Chain Management team to help develop / strengthen ability to determine optimal stocking levels in MRP,

  • Lead annual physical inventory for warehouse and finished goods inventory cycle counts.

  • Review and evaluate transportation partners to measure their effectiveness and cost

  • Lead sourcing of secondary storage facilities as needed

    Frequent, direct process owner leadership with operations leadership, customer service, shipping providers, product marketing and sales team.


  • A Bachelors’ degree (required) or comparable experience

    Experience and Background:

  • Strong leadership and teaming capabilities with the ability to operate independently, affect change across functions, and have a track record of delivered results.

  • Ability to drive results through tactical and strategic decision making.

  • Bias for action and results. Anticipation and proactive focus required.

  • Integrity in action and intention

  • At least 5 years of relevant and progressive operations, or logistics experience required. Candidates familiar with inbound, outbound transportation and logistics management preferred

  • At least 5 years of project management, analytical, strategic, problem solving experience.

  • Exceptional negotiation, written and verbal communication/presentation skills.

  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects/work streams simultaneously.

  • Experience working independently process oriented, and hands-on organization with the ability to resourcefully innovate and adapt in a rapidly changing and fast paced environment.

  • Effective at driving change and managing teams to achieve desired results.

  • Collaborative decision-making and work style and comfortable with working through gray/ambiguous areas.

  • Strong written/oral communication, effective presentation and facilitation, team and leadership development, conflict resolution, and influence skill.

  • Creative thinker with the ability to provide both strategic and tactical direction

  • Demonstrated leadership skills with a practical, “roll-up your sleeves” style

Juanita's brand products are made by Juanita's Foods, a third generation family-owned and operated business based in Wilmington, California. Founded in 1946 by George De La Torre Sr. and his nephew, Albert Guerrero, it was originally called Harbor Canning Company and specialized in canning the catches of local sportsfishermen. One day, at the suggestion of Albert's wife, Ruth, they tried canning menudo, a popular Mexican stew.
