We are currently recruiting for an experienced and commercially minded Technical Manager to join our client on a permanent and full-time basis based on the outskirts of Loughborough, Leicestershire.
Salary: Circa £45-50,000 per annum depending on experience
Working hours: Monday to Friday and office based.

- Lead the Technical Team in all aspects of New Product Development (NPD) and Existing Product Development (EPD)
- Drive continuous product quality improvement by analysing product performance, factory quality data and customer feedback.
- Product testing, technical documentation and compliance
- Monitor changes to relevant legislation, standards and industry best practice.
- Supplier and factory quality improvement initiatives
- Root cause analysis and corrective actions relating to product and warranty issues
- Cross-functional technical support across service and customer support teams
- Proven technical management or senior technical engineering experience
- Strong understanding of product compliance and conformity documentation
- Experience working with overseas suppliers/factories
- Quality assurance and continuous improvement experience
- Ability to manage and develop a technical team
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Experience with in an electro‑mechanical, consumer products, engineering, industrial or manufacturing environment would be beneficial
The role will involve occasional UK and overseas travel to suppliers, factories and trade shows.
The ideal candidate will be a commercially minded technical professional with a strong background in product development, product compliance, quality assurance and supplier management within a manufacturing and/or imported products environment.
