What You ll Do- Model our core value of safety by enabling a culture in which you and your team are actively contributing to a safe work environment.
- Partner with Category Managers and Specialists across Category Management to provide data, analytics and decision support across all stages of the company s strategic sourcing and category management processes.
- Aggregate, normalize and analyze spend data to identify trends and prioritize strategic procurement opportunities.
- Conduct external research to analyze market opportunities, risks, technology trends, etc., associated with assigned categories; model, monitor, and report trends in underlying cost drivers.
- Work collaboratively with team and stakeholders to ensure sourcing projects capture relevant input and stay on track.
- Assist with vendor pre-qualification by creating and disseminating Requests for Information (RFIs); summarize RFI responses to help teams and business assess vendor readiness/fit.
- Assist with preparation of Request for Proposal (RFP) documents for dissemination to qualified vendors.
- Interact with vendors, sourcing team, and business to address vendor questions/clarifications regarding RFP.
- Organize detailed comparisons of vendor RFP responses ("bid tab analysis") to normalize submissions; perform analyses to compare strengths and weaknesses of vendors and their proposals.
- Support development of sourcing team s negotiation strategy; create cost models and run scenarios to help determine trade-offs and business benefits from a range of negotiation outcomes.
- Prepare for and participate in vendor negotiations as needed.
- Provide analytic support to Category leaders in helping business make final vendor selection/award decision.
- Following award decision, support detailed quantification and documentation of savings and preparation of implementation plans.
- Provide assistance tracking and quantifying ongoing vendor performance; assess pulse of market and vendor relationship through range of methods, e.g., benchmarking, inflation tracking, contract leakage analysis, KPIs, and performance reviews.
- Bachelor s degree required, ideally in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, or similar discipline.
- 6+ years relevant experience in data analysis supporting category management, strategic sourcing, supply chain management or equivalent.
- Analytical abilities and experience using quantitative insights to make decisions and influence stakeholder.
- Clear and solid understanding of, and practical experience with, enterprise asset management systems (SAP/Oracle), spend management tools (e.g., Ariba, Analysis & Reports), data management tools and source-to-pay systems (eProcurement).
- Knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management capability.
