Water/Wastewater Project Engineer – Lubbock, Texas
Garver is looking for a Water/Wastewater Project Engineer to join our Texas Water team. Reporting to a Project Manager, the engineer will work with multidisciplinary design engineers and CAD technicians to produce project reports, studies, technical memoranda, plans, details, and specifications. The role requires close client interaction to exceed service expectations.
ResponsibilitiesThis position will be responsible for performing design for a variety of projects, including:
- Water conveyance and distribution, including pump stations and storage facilities
- Wastewater conveyance and collection, including pumping/lift stations and force mains
- Water and wastewater treatment plants
- Improvements and retrofitting of existing facilities
- Water, wastewater and reuse master planning
- Bachelor's degree in civil, biological, chemical, mechanical, or environmental engineering from an ABET accredited program
- 2+ years experience related to design of municipal water/wastewater conveyance and/or treatment systems
- Registered as an Engineer‑in‑Training (EIT) or able to obtain certification within the next 6 months
- Master's degree in civil, biological, chemical, mechanical, or environmental engineering from an ABET accredited program
- Experience with Micro Station, GIS, Water
CAD, or SewerCAD - Strong communication skills
- Ability to work independently with strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
- Proficient with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, and Outlook
