About the OpportunityA leading controls contractor specializing in mission-critical data center environments is seeking a QA/QC Controls Commissioning Specialist to support large-scale projects across the United States. This organization is known for delivering high-performance building automation and controls systems within complex, high-availability environments.
This role is based in Lubbock, TX, supporting a major data center project, with potential for future work on similar projects nationwide.
Key Responsibilities- Lead QA/QC processes for building automation and controls systems within mission-critical data center environments
- Oversee commissioning activities, ensuring all systems meet design specifications and operational requirements
- Develop, execute, and document commissioning test plans (FAT, SAT, IST, etc.)
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, contractors, and clients to ensure seamless system integration
- Identify deficiencies, troubleshoot issues, and drive corrective actions to completion
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, project specifications, and safety requirements
- Review control system submittals, sequences of operation, and as-built documentation
- Provide detailed reporting on commissioning progress, risks, and system performance
- 5+ years of experience in controls commissioning, QA/QC, or building automation systems (BAS)
- Strong background in data centers or other mission-critical environments preferred
- Hands‑on experience with major BAS platforms (e.g., Honeywell, Siemens, Johnson Controls, Schneider Electric, Tridium, etc.)
- Deep understanding of HVAC systems, electrical systems, and control sequences
- Proven ability to troubleshoot complex controls and integration issues
- Experience with commissioning documentation and industry standards
- Willingness to travel as needed for project support
- Overtime
