Overview

Position Location:

This role is remote, ideally based near Denver, Atlanta, Dallas, Detroit, Raleigh, or Chicago.

The Senior AIF Electrical Architect – MV/LV leads the electrical architecture for Siemens’ AI Factory program, spanning high-, medium-, and low-voltage systems. This role is responsible for developing scalable, future-ready electrical designs that integrate both physical and digital power infrastructure across AI Factory and data center environments.

The role collaborates closely with multi-disciplinary engineering, business, innovation, and R&D teams to translate complex electrical systems into reference architectures and reusable design frameworks deployed across Siemens portfolios and customer solutions.

Responsibilities
  • Leading electrical architecture activities across HV, MV, and LV domains for AI Factory and data center programs.
  • Designing and integrating physical power infrastructure, including AC and DC systems, power conversion, backup generation, storage, and distribution.
  • Developing digital power architectures.
  • Enhancing Siemens offers related to energy management, SCADA, digital twins, grid models, and related services.
  • Co-creating with peers across disciplines to optimize Siemens reference architectures and client-specific AI Factory designs.
  • Creating scalable electrical system designs, libraries, and guidelines reused across portfolios, advanced development, and R&D teams.
  • Incorporating emerging NEC, NFPA, and UL standards into forward-looking electrical design concepts.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in MV/LV electrical system design or architecture.
  • Proficient in creating electrical single line diagrams and schematics.
  • Hands-on experience with electrical codes and standards.
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally as required, up to 50%.
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Advanced degree in Electrical Engineering or Power Systems.
  • Deep expertise in protection, selectivity, coordination studies, arc-flash mitigation.
  • Experience in integrating OEM components into an optimized skid for modular deployment.
  • Experience using Siemens grid modeling, electrical design, or power automation tools.
