Job Description

An industry leader in plumbing & HVAC repair is seeking an experienced Estimator / Admin Clerk to join their growing team in Lynbrook, New York.

Responsibilities of the Estimator / Admin Clerk:

  • Type estimates/revisions for plumbing, plumbing service, fire protection, and HVAC departments into the database and send to General Contractors/customers via email
  • Communicate level sheets to the GC's
  • Pull folders for revisions and awarded jobs to give to the service department
  • Organize/maintain filing cabinets for all estimates weekly
  • Respond to customer inquiries and assist in resolving any issues
  • Enter drawings into the Par database
  • Back-up the plan desk by filing, creating, and removing plan from the database
  • Assist estimators with all administrative tasks
  • Distribute mail in the morning
  • Back-up DOB/FDNY coordinator when necessary complete all DOB/FDNY permit related tasks including logging information into ACT, corresponding with NYC DOB, GC's, supervisors, and plumbers
  • Request inspections, submit for signoffs, and request gas authorizations
  • Back-up customer administration when needed log in all requests for bids, administer estimates for bids and send them to purchasing for material pricing
  • Assist new construction in entering in their estimates

Requirements of the Estimator / Admin Clerk:

  • Minimum of a Highschool Diploma
  • Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate at all levels
  • Ability to provide outstanding customer service skills with effective communication and professionalism
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Must be able to display effective problem-solving techniques and have the ability to work well with others while remaining calm in a high-volume and demanding environment
  • Great organizational/tracking skills and have the ability to accomplish day-to-day tasks with minimal supervision
  • Construction experience preferred

Compensation of the Estimator / Admin Clerk:

  • Salary: $45,000 to $55,000/year
