Leading Building Company seeks an Outside Sales Representative within our Retail segment to develop and grow market share within the Branch’s territory while driving service excellence.
The Outside Sales Representative, Retail is tasked with driving retail sales volume through deep industry and community relationships and new business development opportunities. Responsible for building the brand and an affluent book of business through high-level influencers and industry relationships, the Outside Sales Representative, Retail is accountable for growing sales volume in strong partnership with the local market.
Accountable for developing a strategic sales plan to build market share with a focus on key Retail accounts, communicating these plans to the leadership team.
Identify and establish relationships with new and existing clientele through travels throughout assigned territory to call on regular and prospective customers.
Calls on key Retail relationships including General Contractors, Designers, Residential Architects, Custom Home Builders, Kitchen and Bath Designers and Design Build Firms.
Leverage relationships within the Retail community to keep informed about upcoming projects.
Responsible for organizing and implementing Product Knowledge and CEU trainings with assigned accounts.
Collaborate with the Leadership, local teams and peers to develop strategies relating to Retail partners.
Work with Product Development & Marketing teams to consistently communicate business and design trends, consumer and retail attitudes, competitive practices, and product performance characteristics.
Attend and participate in retail and industry events (IIDA, IDS, NKBA, ASID, etc.) to keep up-to-date on the marketplace and competitive activity, and to cultivate and maintain relationships with key accounts.
Manages assigned budgets to approved guidelines to maintain existing business and increase sales.
Investigate and implement innovative ways to market the brand while networking to improve the presence and reputation in the market.
Develop key initiatives to drive showroom traffic including events, product knowledge training and client appointments.
Works independently yet cooperatively with the company and team's goals and directives.
Builds and promotes strong, long-lasting customer relationships by partnering with customers and understanding their needs.
Emphasizes new product promotion during sales calls and onsite visits/meetings.
Responds to the marketplace by providing value through being a knowledgeable rep with quick follow up.
Emphasizes a deep understanding of sales, design and project management.
5-7 years of inside/outside sales and/or business development experience with strong client service focus.
Proven track record in sales, project management and design.
Must be self-motivated and possess the ability to time manage between multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
Thrive in a competitive and dynamic sales environment.
Be flexible, highly organized and have a successful history of servicing multiple accounts while consistently achieving and exceeding sales goals.
Be able to work independently while simultaneously implementing company defined sales strategies.

Exceptional communications skills, both verbal and written.

Successful track record of consistently meeting or exceeding sales quotas and goals in an outsides sales environment (preferably within the luxury building materials industry).

College B.A. / B.S. degree preferred.
