Job Summary
IT Systems Engineer IV responsible for designing, architecting, and maintaining complex Teamcenter-based PLM solutions at Crane Aerospace & Electronics. Works with limited supervision and leads cross‑functional initiatives to support the organization’s product life‑cycle management systems.
Essential Functions- Design, architect, and maintain PLM applications, solutions, and integrations.
- Collaborate with business and peers to design scalable solutions, including interfaces aligned with business initiatives.
- Work on Teamcenter enhancement requests and resolve complex production issues.
- Lead system, configuration, and enhancement design reviews; provide approval for technical solutions.
- Develop and maintain Teamcenter components such as BMIDE, workflows, preferences, reports, and extensions.
- Define data designs (data models, database setup, configurations), integration patterns, and customization strategy.
- Evaluate strategic decisions to determine best implementation approach (configuration, customizations or out‑of‑the‑box).
- Lead implementation of high‑impact and complex initiatives.
- Lead discovery, research, planning, proof‑of‑concept, and implementation of new technologies for the PLM ecosystem.
- Interface with cross‑functional teams and end users at multiple sites for requirements gathering, data mapping, verification testing, user training, and project status communication.
- Ensure adherence to regulatory compliance processes and requirements, including CMMC, DFARS, and ITAR.
- Identify critical systems for obsolescence management and keep the team current with new technology.
- Define monitoring, alerting, and support strategies; support deployments across dev, test, and production environments.
- Prepare technical documents, action plans, and design specifications as needed.
- Conduct end‑user training and provide mentoring and knowledge transfer to less experienced team members.
- Perform other tasks assigned by supervisor or management.
This position may require access to Controlled Data or Information. If required, only U.S. Persons will be considered. The company is a U.S. Department of Defense contractor and is bound by International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
Minimum Qualifications- 10–12+ years of extensive experience in Teamcenter administration, custom development, or system configuration.
- Experience leading end‑to‑end Teamcenter implementation across multiple business units from requirements to production deployment.
- Experience leading global rollout of Teamcenter across multiple sites with phased deployment strategy.
- Experience defining and executing upgrade strategy.
- Experience with setting up MCAD and ECAD integrations.
- Integration experience between PLM and upstream/downstream applications.
- Experience setting up a Teamcenter distributed environment and its architecture.
- Experience with data migration processes including tools, techniques, and validations.
- Experience with ITK, SOA, REST services.
- Proficiency using programming languages such as Java and C++.
- Knowledge of engineering processes and product design cycles.
- Knowledge of engineering data configuration including parts, BOMs, and change orders.
- Experience with Agile PLM or Windchill applications.
- Experience with PDM tools such as DOORS, EWM, and RPE.
- Experience with XML troubleshooting.
- Experience with configuration and task management in Azure Dev Ops.
- Experience with systems/Windows server administration.
- Advanced knowledge of SQL and system reporting.
- Strong problem‑solving and decision‑making skills.
- Ability to conduct process assessments.
- Ability to complete job requirements within time constraints.
- Ability to work effectively in an individual or team environment.
- Requires strong customer and communication skills.
- Self‑motivated and directed.
- Strong interest in efficiency and continuous improvement.
- Ability to work independently in a distributed team.
- Proven leadership ability, including consulting with functional leaders and other engineers and administrators.
- Documentation writing skills for technical and non‑technical audiences.
