We are seeking a Storeroom Specialist (Summer) for our First Quality Baby Products facility located in Macon, GA. This is a temporary position that we are anticipating will last through the summer. The Storeroom Specialist is responsible for assisting the maintenance crew in locating, inventorying, and signing out spare parts for production machine maintenance.
Responsibilities- Ensure inventory accuracy and integrity on a daily basis by using a PC based parts control system.
- Assist the maintenance crew in determining the correct parts to use and locating them.
- Perform housekeeping for the spare parts room.
- Adhere to parts sign out and parts receiving and shipping procedures to ensure inventory accuracy.
- Inspect incoming parts shipments for damage or shortages, completing receiving paperwork, and data entry.
- Pack and arrange shipments of parts and units for return/credit or outside repair.
- Emphasize the importance of signing out parts to other employees according to company guidelines.
- Store parts in logical and safe locations using an organized data entry system and record keeping.
- Label stored parts using systems guidelines.
- Relate parts requirements and concerns of the maintenance crew to the Supervisor.
- Provide accurate record keeping and neatly complete all required paperwork.
- Assist with the training of new hires to locate parts in the system and perform proper bar code check-outs.
- Have standard knowledge of MS Windows.
- Have standard knowledge of a parts inventory control operation.
- Occasionally lift/carry up to 50 lb.
- Observe all safety rules and use the proper safety equipment at all times.
- Follow necessary GMP, FDA, and ISO regulations/guidelines.
- Parts or tool crib experience is a plus.
- Be at least 18 years of age.
- Have a High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Previous parts room or storeroom experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
