Database Architect IV

Our client, a leading organization in the public sector, is seeking a dedicated and skilled Database Architect IV to join their team. As a Database Architect IV, you will be an integral part of the Information Technology department supporting database management and system optimization efforts. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication, and a proactive approach to maintaining high system performance and resilience, which will align successfully within the organization.

Contract on W2

• Administer SQL-server and Oracle databases to ensure optimal performance and security.
• Perform database tuning and maintenance to guarantee high system availability and efficiency.
• Plan and execute disaster recovery tests, ensuring system resilience and data integrity.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support database-related projects and initiatives.
• Monitor and troubleshoot database issues, implementing solutions promptly and effectively.

• Experience managing SQL-server and Oracle databases in a professional environment.
• Strong knowledge of database tuning, maintenance, and disaster recovery planning.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work effectively during CST business hours (9:00 am - 3:00 pm or as defined by the hiring manager).
• Willingness to work on-site in Madison, WI, or relocate within 30 days of the start date.
