Systems Analyst, IT Business Analyst
Position Overview
The SAP Senior Application Analyst will work on SAP systems design and configuration, upgrades, and improvements for SAP technology platforms. As the primary support contact for SAP application end‑users, the analyst identifies and resolves issues in forecasting (IBP) and related application teams, performs impact analysis, builds and tests system changes, and mentors junior analysts.
Essential Duties- Design and configure business systems, and implement upgrades for low to medium complexity applications.
- Develop new processes and procedures to address current challenges and improve business workflows.
- Create and maintain system documentation, including system design and configuration records.
- Lead estimation of enhancement or support requests, guide workflow design, and test system changes.
- Liaise with stakeholders and vendor implementation staff to align business needs with system changes.
- Participate in the development of documentation, training, and support for end users.
- Troubleshoot issues, provide status updates to stakeholders, and act as subject matter expert for assigned applications.
- Assign or delegate configuration activities to team members and oversee incident or problem resolution.
- Show leadership in continuous improvement initiatives for the IT department or team.
- Take ownership of work activities, ensuring timely and accurate completion.
- Effectively communicate with project leadership, subject matter experts, and stakeholders.
- Demonstrate strong analytical, problem‑solving, and interpersonal skills.
- Adapt to changing business needs, ambiguous situations, and unexpected circumstances.
- Model inclusion, accountability, and teamwork in all interactions.
- Work flexible hours, including nights and weekends as needed; travel up to 5% of time.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field, or High School Diploma/ GED with 12 years of relevant experience.
- 5+ years of experience developing or configuring technology solutions in an application analyst or project delivery role.
- Strong computer skills, including internet navigation, email, and Microsoft Office.
- Ability to perform essential duties with or without accommodation.
- Experience configuring business systems software in life science, healthcare, or related industry.
- Knowledge of SAP systems architecture and support, including IBP, Production Planning, S/4 HANA, SAP Cloud Solutions, and Fiori.
- Understanding of SAP Security architecture and implementation methods.
Salary Range – National: $91,000 – $155,000;
Redwood City: $155,200 – $194,000. Position located in Madison, WI. The salary shown is for a full‑time role and may differ by hiring location. The role is bonus eligible.
