Engineer candidates are expected to pass the FE examination early and, when qualified, take the Structural PE exam. Non-engineer candidates are expected to continue personal development in management and competence skills in their area(s) of work.

Company Requirements
  • All employees must be proficient in Microsoft Windows and Office Suite and possess excellent communication skills.
  • Engineers must also be proficient in structural analysis software, including finite element analysis methods.
  • All employees must be proficient in using a computer workstation and may be required to lift up to 30 pounds.

Office

Hours:

8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Monday‑Friday

Engineer Positions

We look for Engineers with a structural emphasis and a proven record of project management and presentation skills. This experience can be professional, or from schooling or work history where management and presentation skills were required.

Structural Engineer I – EIT
  • Entry-level and Engineer in Training.
  • Assist Professional Engineer as directed in performing calculations, managing projects and clients, and producing drawings per company standards.
  • Travel and perform site visits to review construction for compliance with design documents.
  • Assist Professional Engineer as otherwise directed.
  • Direct others as required.
  • Prepare drawings, layouts, reports and cost estimates for engineering projects.
  • Conduct technical analysis and prepare computations for projects.
  • Assist in job site inspections and participate in project design and process meetings for commercial and residential building projects.
  • Requires a Master’s degree in Civil Engineering and one year’s relevant experience.
Structural Engineer II – PE
  • Licensed Professional Engineer.
  • Independently perform designs and calculations, manage projects and clients, and produce drawings per company standards.
  • Travel and perform site visits to review construction and be able to independently provide alternative design direction if requested.
  • Direct others as required.
  • Independently manage production of deliverables for clients, timelines and production schedule for client projects, understand and meet client expectations, and follow all company standards.
  • Perform all duties of Project Manager I.
  • Perform all duties of Structural Engineer I.
Drafters

Drafters are essential at our engineering firm. We have drafting positions available at any time for the right candidate. If asked to attend an interview, you will be required to pass a standard AutoCAD test to demonstrate your skills.

  • Independently produce AutoCAD drafted drawings using hand‑marked information given to you.
  • Work with a team to meet client expectations.
  • Follow company drafting standards.
  • Independently produce design sketches based on architectural or other requirements.
  • Review structural drawings in conjunction with architectural design for conformance.
  • Independently layout structural systems based on industry and company standards.
  • Independently produce detail and section sketches relevant to plan work.
Administration

The Administration keeps the company together like glue and is necessary for getting projects complete and keeping them organized.
