Automotive Parts Quality Inspector

Basic salary £30,000 + annual bonus + benefits

Hybrid working, 3 days office based in Marden, Kent

My client is an automotive parts supplier and they have a vacancy in their new product department, working with the quality management team. It's a fantastic opportunity for someone with a basic background in quality inspection to hone their skills and learn a new industry within a growing and successful international business. The Role:

* Working in a team of inspectors you'd be analysing automotive brake and filtration systems

* These are new products to market that need to be checked for quality and approved in comparison to other products so you'd be using vernier calipers, height gauges and so on.

* You'd also communicate with suppliers and attend meetings with them to discuss product specifics and any queries or recommendations.

* Working from the office base in Marden, Kent but once you're fully trained you'd have the option to work up to 2 days a week from home, completing the associated reports and approval documentation.

* The role is Monday to Friday, 9-5 but could be 8-4 or similar as there is flexibility as long as the core number of hours are worked.

The Person :

* We're looking for someone who has some level of experience using inspection tools and has worked within quality management before, either in an automotive environment or within engineering or manufacturing.

* We need you to be able to review, analyse and interpret technical drawings

* Any knowledge and experience of the design and function of automotive braking or filtration systems would be a great bonus but this can be taught.

* Good IT literacy with Microsoft products is essential as you'll be writing reports regularly and a GCSE level education is required. Any engineering or automotive qualification would be a great extra, but again, not essential.

* Good communication skills and excellent organisation and attention to detail are a must, with the ability to work to tight deadlines.

The Package:

* A basic salary of £30,000 per year is offered and an annual bonus is available after your probation period.

* 25 days holiday + bank holidays
