Position:  Principal Officer Insurance Broking
Job Responsibilities
Reporting to the Board of Directors, the Principal Officer will be responsible for the overall operations and marketing of the business and will specifically be responsible for compliance and all affairs relating to the insurance regulator, MMA.
 Manage day to day relationship with the Insurance Regulatory Authority (MMA) 

Implement strategies and policies to achieve the company’s mission, vision, and objectives 
Driving the business to achieve the desired financial performance as set by the Board 
Design and see the implementation of marketing strategies and prospects for new business to meet company targets 
Ensure safe keeping of company assets, equipment, inventory and cash 
Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual reports and ensure its effectiveness and provide them to the regulator on time 
Supervise and monitor issuance of policy documents, certificates and renewal information to clients 
Represent the Company’s operations in the Maldives for Sales conference and seminars, exhibitions, CSR projects as and when necessary and requested by the management 
Maintain company reputation and image at all time and ensure that the staff is following Insurance regulations of MMA and Company’s code of conduct  Developing profitable and productive business relationships and liaising with General Insurance and Life Insurance companies
Position Requirements
Educational Qualifications
Associate or fellowship in insurance; or  
a Postgraduate qualification in insurance from any recognized institution of insurance; or  
Bachelors or Masters Degree or equivalent from any institution or university recognized by the Maldives Accreditation Board and have been engaged in insurance business for more than two years; or    
Over 5 years ‘experience in the field of insurance

Strong relationships within the Maldivian business community  
Exceptional communication, leadership, analytical and interpersonal skills
