This is a role within Systems' Manufacturing and Production group. A successful incumbent is expected to (i) set up equipment in accordance with print specifications and work instructions; make adjustments to maintain set-up; perform equipment or machinery set-up including stamping dies, forming dies, machining dies, etc, and (ii) perform daily and/or weekly operator equipment maintenance.

Job Responsibilities
  • Set up equipment in accordance with print specifications and work instructions; make adjustments to maintain set-up; perform equipment or machinery set-up including stamping dies, forming dies, machining dies, etc.
  • Perform daily and/or weekly operator equipment maintenance.
  • Proficiently operate iron worker, press brakes, hydraulic shear, band saw, milling machines, plasma and other equipment.
  • Utilize inspection gauges such as dial calipers, protractors, squares, and height gauges to perform quality checks on parts.
  • Read and interpret blueprints and work orders to determine appropriate operations to be performed.
  • Drive forklift and maintain necessary certification.
  • Operate cranes, hoists, and lift tables to load/unload material.
  • Route parts and components to the proper department or storage location.
  • Label materials produced and scan shop orders within an ERP system.
  • Efficiently prioritize workload and use of available resources with time constraints.
  • Comply with health and safety guidelines and rules; managers should also ensure compliance across their teams.
  • Protect Chamberlain Group’s and Systems’ reputation by keeping information confidential.
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reading professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies.
  • Contribute to the team effort by accomplishing related results and participating on projects as needed.
Machine Shop Operator II

Job Requirements
  • No minimum education required.
  • 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing and/or warehouse environment.
  • Ability to accurately read a tape measure to 1/32".
  • Preferred Qualifications:

    Experience operating iron worker, press brakes, hydraulic shear, band saw, milling machines, plasma and other related equipment.

The pay range for this position is $17.50 - $26.73/hr base pay offered may vary depending on a number of factors including, but not limited to, the position offered, location, education, training, and/or experience. In addition to base pay, also offered is a comprehensive benefits package and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). This position is eligible for participation in a short-term incentive plan subject to the terms of the applicable plans and policies.
