MEP Designs, Inc. is looking for a Plumbing Engineer Designer with 3 to 5 years of experience in plumbing design.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:Candidate must demonstrate proficiency in plumbing design for the built environment including:

• Design of domestic water and sanitary waste systems; natural gas systems, grease waste systems, fire suppression systems, load calculations, equipment sizing and selection, performing site surveys, and a working knowledge of building and energy codes.
• Development of system design calculations, risers, and selection of equipment for use in buildings.
• Preparation of detailed design documents.
• Coordinating work with other disciplines.

The successful candidate will possess the following minimum qualifications:

• Associate Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 5-10+ years’ experience in building plumbing design engineering.
• Knowledge of building codes and construction standards.
• Must be proficient with AutoCAD or Revit.
• Effective communication skills and ability to interface with clients.
• Manassas, VA 20109:
  Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required).

MEP Designs, Inc. is looking for an Electrical Engineer or Designer with 5 to 10+ years of building engineering systems design.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Perform building electrical engineering design tasks with minimum supervision.
• Perform field surveys and client meetings to collect project info and projects reviews.
• Apply Building Codes including NEC, Fire Alarm Code and IECC.
• Building Electric Service Design and Demand Calculations.
• Building Power Distribution.
• Power and Lighting Layout Design.
• Emergency Power Systems.
• Site Lighting and Photometrics Analysis.
• Technical and Specification Writing.

The successful candidate will possess the following minimum qualifications:

• B.S. in Electrical Engineering.
• 5-10+ years’ experience in building electrical engineering, particularly design.
• Knowledge of building codes and construction standards.
• Must be proficient with AutoCAD or Revit.

MEP Designs Inc. has a position available for Mechanical Engineer. Job located in Manassas, VA & travel to Northern VA client sites. Duties:
Assist with designing mechanical systems including heating and cooling systems, air distribution, ventilation, air conditioning and building automation and controls. Assist with design of domestic water and sanitary waste systems; natural gas systems, grease waste systems, fire suppression systems, load calculations, equipment sizing and selection, performing site surveys, and a working knowledge of building and energy codes. Assist with development of system design calculations, risers, and selection of equipment for use in buildings.

Assist with preparation of detailed design documents. Assist with coordinating work with other disciplines.

Requires:
Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Mechanical Engineering; 2 years’ experience as a Mechanical Engineer;
Knowledgeable in AutoCAD, Revit and Microsoft Office.
