Job Title
Registered Nurse (RN) Educator – Saint Louis, Missouri
Job SummaryThe role requires providing Diabetes and Nutritional educational services and community resources for inpatients and outpatients, maintaining a case load of patients, and promoting program development.
Work ScheduleMonday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. No call, weekends or holidays required.
Responsibilities- Monitors patients' response and modifies plan of care accordingly.
- Provides accurate documentation as required.
- Delivers direct patient care by assessing and evaluating patient's physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs.
- Develops and implements individual plans of care in accordance with established guidelines and standards of nursing care.
- Educates patients and their families on how to manage their condition.
- At least 2 years of RN experience with Diabetes exposure.
- Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist (CDCES) preferred.
- Education:
Nursing Diploma or Associate's Degree – Nursing or Nutrition related. - Experience:
No prior experience required.
- Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Certified Diabetes Educator (preferred).
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (preferred).
