Ashley Services are working with a client who are looking to bring in a construction site manager to their team.

This position is initially to provide cover for the current Site Manager who is on sick leave and it will then be moving onto another long term project which is due to start in about 4 weeks.

Project Description:
The repurposing of a former care home, into a new school facility in Salford The works comprise demolition, internal structural alterations including new foundations and structural steelwork, mechanical and electrical modifications, installation of partitions and suspended ceilings, joinery works, kitchen and WC fit-out, external hard and soft landscaping, and the construction of a new main entrance extension.

Site Manager Responsibilities:

• Overall supervision and coordination of all site activities.
• Management and coordination of subcontractors and direct labour.
• Completion of daily activity brief sheets (DABS), daily reports and site diary records.
• Ensuring compliance with all health and safety requirements and site procedures.
• Conducting site inductions, toolbox talks and regular safety inspections.
• Liaison with the client, project manager, quantity surveyor and design team.
• Monitoring quality standards and ensuring works are carried out in accordance with drawings and specifications.
• Monitoring progress against programme and reporting on project performance.
• Managing site logistics and maintaining a clean and organised site.
