Applications are invited for the post of Senior Locally Employed Doctor (Higher) In Trauma to commence from August 2026 on a six month fixed-term.

This post is based at the Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust, (MFT) which a major teaching hospital is serving the population of Manchester. It is home for a number of tertiary and regional services.

Candidates that are non‑GMC registered at the point of application will be considered for this position, under the Trusts International Fellowship Scheme (please note, there is a £750 admin charge for this scheme). The post holder will be part of a dynamic and innovative team of trauma and orthopaedic surgeons and plastic surgeons dealing with complex trauma cases at the designated Major Trauma Centre. The team is looking to appoint a keen and enthusiastic fellow, who would like to further their interest in dealing with complex trauma cases.

The successful candidate should have completed CCST (or within 6 months) along with full GMC registration and a licence to practise in the UK is required.

The candidate will work in a multi-disciplinary team approach alongside of medical staff, nurse practitioners, and allied health professionals.
