We are seeking a skilled and motivated Field Service Engineer to join our globally respected organization. Based primarily near key customer sites around the Seascale area in Cumbria
, this role offers a unique opportunity to work with advanced Radiological Protection Instruments, Non-Destructive Assay systems, and Gamma Spectroscopy equipment.
You will play a critical role in delivering technical support, installation, commissioning, calibration, routine testing and repairs, both on-site and remotely. This is a hands‑on position requiring a high level of technical expertise, initiative, autonomy, and a commitment to quality and safety.
Key Responsibilities- Perform field service activities across various customer sites, including installation, calibration, testing, and repair of nuclear-measurement systems
- Provide remote and on-site technical support to customers across the UK and occasionally travel abroad
- Troubleshoot complex systems and deliver effective solutions independently or as part of a team
- Maintain accurate documentation in line with QHSE standards
- Promote the company’s service capabilities and uphold our core values:
Integrity, Commitment, Accountability, Respect, and Exploration - Collaborate closely with UK and international service teams to ensure seamless support delivery
- Background in Engineering is essential (or equivalent experience/qualification)
- Experience with radiation an advantage (not essential as full training will be given)
- Knowledge of radiation measurement instruments and/or gamma spectroscopy an advantage (training will be provided if needed)
- Familiarity with working on nuclear licensed sites such as Sellafield, EDF, MAGNOX, or Dounreay an advantage
- Strong initiative, motivation and a commitment to delivering high-quality work under pressure
- Excellent interpersonal, organisational, and communication skills with peers and customers
- Eligibility for UK security clearance (British or EU passport holder)
- High level of English proficiency
