Store Detective

Overview

Harvey Nichols is seeking a Store Detective to join the team in Manchester, a destination for modern luxury and cutting-edge design.

• Providing a fair and consistent level of enforcement of all Company policies and procedures and maintaining a high level of confidentiality at all times.
• Identifying and advising store management and staff of any possible stock loss risks and best practice in loss prevention.
• Detecting, apprehending and detaining persons guilty of stealing Company property, cash or merchandise.
• Conducting regular and random searches of employee and contractors’ possessions in line with the Company policy.

• Hold an SIA Licence and have previous experience of security and loss prevention, particularly in a luxury retail environment.
• Knowledge of Criminal Law, court procedures and security equipment.
• Strong communication, organizational and planning skills, with self-motivation and the ability to quickly adapt to challenging situations.
• The working hours for this position are 37.5 hours a week, working 5 days out of 7 on a rota basis, inclusive of weekends.
