Position SummaryLead and develop teams effectively by teaching and training associates, actively listening to their feedback, and providing constructive guidance. Collaborate across all levels to support store operations, technology initiatives, merchandising plans, and company direction. Facilitate the adoption of company change efforts, set clear expectations, and implement business solutions that align with corporate objectives.
What You'll DoDevelop and train associates to deliver exceptional customer service using the One Best Way (OBW) model. Manage customer service initiatives, resolve complaints, and implement action plans to enhance the customer experience. Drive financial performance by evaluating profit‑loss statements, budgeting, forecasting, and controlling expenses. Oversee merchandise presentation, seasonal transitions, inventory flow, and operational processes to meet sales and profit goals. Hire, train, mentor, and recognize hourly associates while promoting a culture of belonging and continuous learning.
Ensure compliance with company policies, uphold ethical standards, and support the Open Door policy. Build strong relationships with stakeholders, identify improvement opportunities, and encourage adaptability within the team. Demonstrate integrity, empathy, and partnership with customers, associates, and the community to promote a regenerative workplace. Provide data-driven decision making, prioritize short‑term and long‑term goals, and foster continuous improvement through technology and skill development.
- 2 years of college, OR 1 year of retail experience and 1 year of supervisory experience, OR 2 years of general work experience and 1 year of supervisory experience.
- For firearms facilities: successful completion of a firearms‑specific Criminal Background Check (CBC) and Firearms Authorized Training.
- For ammunition facilities with state requirements: current state‑issued Certificate of Eligibility.
- Completion of all job‑required trainings and assessments (e.g., Academy trainings, Open Door trainings).
- Bachelor of Science in Business Management and Leadership (e.g., Live Better U, Bellevue University).
- Certificate of Completion in People and Business Leadership (e.g., Live Better U, Bellevue University).
- General work experience supervising 5 or more direct reports, including performance management, mentoring, hiring, and termination responsibilities.
- Competitive base salary ($65,000.00 - $80,000.00) plus annual or quarterly performance bonuses.
