Job Title:
Manufacturing Quality Analyst
The Manufacturing Quality Technician is responsible for supporting quality assurance and manufacturing processes to ensure aerospace components meet stringent regulatory, customer, and engineering requirements. This role plays a critical part in inspection, validation, documentation, and continuous improvement activities to maintain compliance with AS9100 standards and customer specifications.
Key Responsibilities- Perform in-process and final inspections of aerospace components using precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, CMM, height gauges, etc.).
- Review and interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, specifications, and work instructions.
- Conduct First Article Inspections (FAI) in accordance with AS9102 requirements.
- Document inspection results and maintain accurate records in quality systems.
- Identify nonconformances and support root cause analysis and corrective actions (RCCA).
- Generate and process Nonconformance Reports (NCRs) and participate in MRB (Material Review Board) activities.
- Support internal audits and compliance efforts for AS9100 and customer requirements.
- Assist manufacturing teams with process verification and quality improvement initiatives.
- Verify compliance of materials, processes, and finished products to specifications.
- Collaborate with engineering, production, and suppliers to resolve quality issues.
- Ensure proper calibration and use of inspection equipment per standards.
- High school diploma or GED (Associate degree or technical certification preferred)
- 1 year of experience in manufacturing quality, preferably in aerospace or regulated industries
- Strong understanding of:
- Blueprint reading
- GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing)
- Inspection techniques and tools
- Experience with quality management systems such as AS9100 or ISO 9001
- Familiarity with First Article Inspection (FAI) requirements (AS9102)
- Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office, ERP/MES systems)
- Certification such as:
- ASQ Certified Quality Technician (CQT)
- ASQ Certified Quality Inspector (CQI)
- Experience using Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) and inspection software
- Knowledge of root cause methodologies (8D, 5 Whys, Fishbone, etc.)
- Experience in precision machining, composites, or aerospace assembly environments
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, regulated environment
- Effective communication and teamwork

CompensationCompetitive base salary commensurate with experience: $38,700 – 58,100 (subject to change dependent on physical location)
Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
