Summary
This position is responsible for ensuring customer satisfaction with on-time delivery requirements by providing assembly operations per standard work procedures and within the required tact time. Responsible for performing assembly or non-CNC operations according to Standard Work Documentation, Manufacturing Instructions and Quality Plans in the cell.
Assembles ball nuts, operates small hand tools for debur operation, engraver, as needed to complete operations. May use saws, straightener, buffer, and overhead hoist. Daily communication with the team and other facilities is required. Comply with all environmental, health and safety regulations. The work area must comply with 5S requirements. Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Skills- Ability to read, follow and understand prints, MI’s and QP’s to accomplish the assigned task.
- Required to exhibit the ability to read and follow work instructions both written and verbal.
- Must be able to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of work situations.
- Use of inspection equipment to include, but not limited to:
Micrometers, pitch micrometers, indicator micrometers, calipers, indicators, thread gauges, length gages, and tape measures. - The ability to perform basic math calculations including addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.
- Must be able to compute rate, ratio and percent to draw and interpret bar graphs.
- Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds.
- Good planning, organizing and communication.
- The ability to multi-task and be a team player.
- Good reading and comprehension.
- The ability to work long periods standing up; lift and manipulate heavy loads (up to 60 lbs).
- Twist, turn, bend, stoop, push, pull, reach and walk repetitively, and work with oils, coolants and lubricants.
- Must be willing to work overtime, which may include occasional weekends.
Expected Hourly Rate: $18.00
