Summary
This position is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the manufacturing section.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Managing, coaching and directing Off Line Team Leaders (OTLs).
- Directing the problem-solving activities of the manufacturing area.
- Analyzing processes for continuous improvement.
- Analyzing and continuously scrapping and detecting products produced.
- Analyzing and continuously improving overall plant efficiency.
- Improving overall product quality.
- Determining and preparing T/M daily work (standardizing work).
- Determining and preparing section training requirements and plans.
- Implementing abnormal occurrence plans when necessary.
- Supporting the efforts of other sections within the company to achieve goals and targets.
- Performing all duties in conformance to appropriate safety and security standards.
- Performing other reasonably related tasks within the Company as required by Management.
This position will manage and direct OTLs and Hourly Team Members.

5 years of prior applicable experience in manufacturing.
2 years of management experience required.
Automotive experience desired.
RelationshipsAll other ALM Departments and various outside vendors and customers.
Work EnvironmentExposure to dust, noise, oils, greases, grinding debris, compressed air, metal shavings, propane, solvents and occasional heavy lifting.
Exposed to hazardous machinery and/or conditions that could result in injury up to and including a fatality if safety measures are not followed and adhered to.
Exposed to shop elements such as noise, dust, odors, fumes, oils.
Performance normally requires exposure to typical manufacturing areas where the use of personal protective equipment such as safety glasses with side shields and/or safety shoes is required.
Primary EnvironmentTemperature of work area may be affected by outside temperatures and machining. Industrial lighting provided.
Physical DemandsRequirements include standing, walking, sitting, lifting up to 25 lbs, carrying 25 lbs, pushing/pulling 10 lbs, climbing, balancing, bending, crawling, reaching, walking on uneven ground, fine manipulation, gross manipulation, simple grasping, power grip, hand twisting, twisting of body, kneeling and crouching.
