Junior Project Coordinator

Responsibilities

• Assist the Superintendent in managing work on-site to ensure compliance with construction drawings and specifications.
• Support the Superintendent and Project Manager in planning and implementing schedules, determining manpower levels, material quantities, inspections, and equipment allocations.
• Monitor work performance to ensure project rules, procedures, and safety requirements are being followed.
• Advise of potential problems, work interferences, and schedule difficulties and assist in resolving these problems.
• Maintain and analyze up-to-date cost reports, submitting necessary changes to keep the project within budget.
• Meet with Owners and Consultants, communicating concerns and best interests of the company.
• Monitor project performance, schedule, costs, equipment, manpower, materials, equipment maintenance, safety and quality control.
• Interface with project team, subcontractors, and related third parties.
• Inspect project site to maintain a safe work environment and lead to ensure policies, procedures, and standards are followed.

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in civil engineering, construction management, or a related field.
• EIT or CET designation preferred.
• 1+ year of construction experience desired.
• Experience on MTO road construction projects desired.
• Experience in AFP/P3 Design‑Build projects is an asset.
• Exposure to all aspects of road and bridge building.

• Ability to connect and interact with people to seek different perspectives.
• Superb communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong ability to prioritize and manage multiple competing priorities.
• Demonstrate versatility and resourcefulness in overcoming business challenges.

• Expected base salary: $50,000 - $60,000 per year.
