Markham Geotechnical Construction Materials Technician

This position demands technical expertise as you assess and ensure the quality of construction materials across various projects. With 4–6 years' experience, you will perform quality assurance tests on soil, concrete, and asphalt while conducting site inspections. Your leadership will guide subsurface investigations and compliance checks, all while maintaining the operation of testing equipment and collaborating closely with project teams.
Key Responsibilities:
• Implement field and laboratory QA/QC testing procedures
• Conduct thorough inspections and observations on sites
• Manage soil compaction and compliance testing effectively
• Operate and maintain testing equipment with accuracy
• Collaborate with teams to pinpoint and resolve challenges
Requirements:
• Diploma in Civil or Construction Engineering Technology
• 4–6 years of relevant professional experience
• Registration with OACETT or PEO (preferred)
• Strong command of relevant testing standards
• Valid driver’s license with insurance coverage
