CCTV and Sewer Flushing Operator Position

Support the City of Markham's Environmental Services as a CCTV and Sewer Flushing Operator. Ensure community health by maintaining sewer infrastructure and adhering to wastewater regulations.

This full-time role requires skilled operation of Waterworks equipment such as CCTV inspection cameras and sewer flusher trucks. You will conduct essential inspections and flushes while creating reports that inform departmental maintenance strategies and emergency responses. Your work will directly contribute to the safety and well-being of over 370,000 residents.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate sanitary sewer inspection and cleaning equipment

• Plan and execute flushing schedules to support system integrity

• Record inspection findings accurately for engineering purposes

• Address complaints from residents and work with stakeholders

• Engage in emergency service operations when necessary

Requirements:

• Completion of High School plus two years of certified education

• Class II Certification in Water Distribution and Wastewater Collection

• Minimum 5 years of operational experience in the field

• Knowledge of software tools for inspection reporting

• Az License is an asset
