Position Summary:
This is an engaging and high impact position in which you will work closely with industry leaders to support clients with stormwater management and design, green infrastructure (GI), low impact development (LID), hydrologic and hydraulic (H&H) analysis, water quantity and water quality analysis, and resiliency solutions. In this position you will work as a team member to support routine and non-routine assignments related to transportation projects of substantial variety and complexity.
Essential Job Functions:
The following duties are considered essential to the role. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform these essential functions:
* Perform design and analysis of roadway stormwater treatment and conveyance systems, including drainage pipe networks, culverts, inlets, retention/detention basins, roadside swales, and related stormwater infrastructure.
* Conduct hydrologic and hydraulic analyses and develop associated models to support design and evaluation of water resources systems.
* Prepare construction and bid documents, including engineering plans, technical specifications, and cost estimates.
* Develop technical reports and documentation to communicate analyses, methodologies, and design recommendations.
* Participate in client meetings and deliver presentations to communicate project status, findings, and technical solutions.
* Execute work in accordance with internal quality procedures, applicable codes, legislation, and industry standards to ensure project compliance and technical excellence.
* Actively pursue continuous learning opportunities to maintain a high degree of technical knowledge and professional competency in transportation/traffic engineering.
* Promote and maintain a culture of safety by working in a safe manner at all times and promptly reporting all health and safety incidents or concerns.
* Perform additional tasks as required to support project goals, team objectives, and company initiatives.
Required Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in civil engineering with a minimum of 5 years of experience for project-level or minimum of 10 years of experience for senior-level
* Professional Engineer License (MA)
* Experience with AutoCAD/Civil 3D, Storm
CAD, Hydro
CAD, HEC-RAS
* Strong written and verbal communication skills
* Ability to work in a team environment with staff from different disciplines and backgrounds
* Active and clear driver's license, including a successful clearance of a Motor Vehicle history check.
Physical Requirements:
* Ability to remain in a stationary position (sitting or standing) for extended periods while performing computer-based tasks, attending meetings, or preparing design documentation.
