About the RoleRaytheon welcomes a college graduate to join our RF/Microwave Engineering Team. These departments develop, design, test and manufacture compound semiconductor devices, microwave/millimeter-wave integrated circuits, and modules for defense applications. You will work on a variety of systems and equipment from receivers, exciters and processing electronics and communications systems that support multiple Radar programs including Global Patriot and Early Warning Systems.
What You Will Do- Perform fixtured and on-wafer probe measurements
- Assemble RF/microwave/millimeter-wave test systems
- Use software to control test equipment and plot test results
- Support the MMIC and module design teams
- Integration and test of Digital, Analog, and RF components and modules
- Circuit analysis, circuit simulation, design documentation maintenance, trade assessments for obsolescence resolution, troubleshooting and resolution of hardware performance issues and hardware integration, test and verification
- Work as part of a team to analyze Hardware / Firmware test requirements / specifications to determine Hardware and Firmware requirements
- Develop solutions to test issues and develop productivity and efficiency enhancements
- Interact with test technicians, factory facilitators, operations managers, other engineers, Quality Assurance and Reliability personnel
- Design of RF microwave components and phased array applications
- Integration and test of component level and system level phased array hardware
- RF/Microwave device, MMIC, and module characterization techniques, including using spectrum analyzers, Real-time Spectrum Analyzers (RSAs), Vector Network Analyzers (VNAs) and Performance Network Analyzer (PNAs)
- Test system set‑up
- Software such as Python, Labview, Keysight ADS, HFSS, Cadence Virtuoso, MATLAB, CST, Mentor Graphics’ Expedition, AutoCAD, TCAD, C++, Java, JMP
- Data analysis techniques
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related STEM major
- Experience/coursework in RF/microwave, Analog, Digital Electronics, Circuit Design or Analysis, Electrical Components, Electromagnetics
- Lab experience specific to RF/microwave device and circuit measurements
- Knowledge of electrical circuit design, analysis and troubleshooting using common lab equipment
- Experience with software:
Python, Labview, Keysight ADS, HFSS, Cadence Virtuoso, MATLAB, CST, Mentor Graphics’ Expedition, AutoCAD, TCAD, C++, Java, JMP - Good written and oral communication skills

- Salary range: 57,200 USD – 108,800 USD (depending on experience and location)
