Senior Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) II - Marlborough, MA (Sponsor Clearance)

U.S. citizenship required. Must obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance (DoD Secret). Clearances must be active after day 1.

Senior ISSO responsibilities include compliance oversight, assessment, and operations of information systems. The role may be assigned to a single large‑scale program or oversee multiple programs. Although there are no direct reports, the ISSO mentors peer ISSOs, providing guidance and advice on day‑to‑day activities.

• Conduct recurring cybersecurity reviews on information systems in accordance with DoD Manuals, NIST Special Publications, customer directives, and company policies.
• Serve as a subject‑matter expert on a broad range of cybersecurity topics, representing the organization to external counterparts.
• Provide guidance and technical training to ISSOs across the organization.
• Review and approve configuration‑management requests within authority.
• Perform technical and administrative assessments.
• Integrate new cybersecurity processes, procedures and tools.
• Support ISSOs and managers in the creation, review and update of cybersecurity documentation and other technical writing.
• Oversee ISSOs to ensure implementation of policies and procedures as outlined in cybersecurity artifacts and governing documentation.
• Travel intermittently to other locations (10‑20%).

• University degree in a related field or equivalent experience with at least 8 years of relevant experience; OR advanced degree with at least 5 years of experience.
• IAM Level I certification (Security+ or equivalent).
• Experience in one or more of the following areas:
• Cybersecurity, systems security or hardening
• Information Technology
• Compliance‑based auditing using RMF, DAAPM, JSIG, NISPOM, FAA, PCI, ISO 9001, HIPAA, or related standards
• Supporting computer technologies (databases, operating systems, network hardware, software, hardware troubleshooting, electronics)
• Physical security, investigative work, or border patrol experience
• Project, program, office, senior administration, or account management
• Preferred:
  Experience in DoD classified environments, familiarity with vulnerability tools (Splunk, Forcepoint, Ivanti, Tenable, ACAS, HBSS), implementation of NIST/CNSSI/DoD regulations, RMF, DISA STIGs, cyber incident response, and multi‑facility networks.

The salary range for this role is $107,500 – $204,500 USD. Specific benefits may vary by business unit and collective‑bargaining agreements.
