Position Summary

The Senior Project Architect will lead architectural projects across K–12 educational, commercial, and private‑sector markets from concept through construction. This role is ideal for a licensed architect who thrives in an integrated architecture and engineering environment and enjoys serving as a technical leader, client partner, and mentor within project teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead architectural projects from programming and conceptual design through construction administration
  • Collaborate closely with in‑house structural, civil, and MEP teams to deliver coordinated design solutions
  • Translate client goals, operational needs, schedules, and budgets into functional, code‑compliant designs
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for school districts, commercial clients, and private owners
  • Lead client meetings, design workshops, and stakeholder presentations
  • Ensure compliance with building codes, life safety, accessibility, and education‑specific regulations
  • Oversee preparation and coordination of architectural drawings, specifications, and technical documentation
  • Support construction administration, including submittals, RFIs, site observations, and issue resolution
  • Perform value analysis, constructability reviews, and support schedule and budget management
  • Maintain design quality, consistency, and technical accuracy across projects
  • Actively contribute to continuous improvement efforts that enhance efficiency, quality, and profitability
Required Qualifications
  • Professional degree in Architecture (B.Arch or M.Arch)
  • Licensed Architect
  • 10+ years of professional experience, including K–12 and commercial or private‑sector projects
  • Experience working in an integrated architecture and engineering firm
  • Strong understanding of building systems, construction methods, and interdisciplinary coordination
Required

Skills and Abilities
  • Advanced knowledge of building codes, materials, and construction practices
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit
  • Strong leadership and collaboration skills within multidisciplinary teams
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including client‑facing presentations
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment
  • Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and organizational skills
Physical Requirements
  • Prolonged periods of desk and computer work
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to access multiple departments and job sites
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel occasionally
Compensation

Good Faith Salary Range: $90,000–$135,000 annually. Starting salary will be based on factors including geography, experience, education, skills, and qualifications.
