BIM Coordinator

Job Overview

As a BIM Coordinator at The Austin Company, you will support the BIM Manager and project teams by developing, coordinating, and managing BIM models to meet project requirements and industry standards.

• Develop and maintain detailed BIM models for complex projects.
• Lead clash detection efforts and coordinate resolution with project teams.
• Implement and enforce BIM standards, protocols, and workflows.
• Prepare and review BIM documentation and reports.
• Facilitate BIM coordination meetings and provide technical support.
• Conduct model audits and ensure compliance with company and industry standards.
• Mentor and support Level 1 BIM Coordinators.
• Integrate models from various disciplines (architectural, structural, MEP) into a cohesive project model.
• Identify and resolve model conflicts and discrepancies.
• Maintain a log of coordination issues and track their resolution status.
• Develop and implement model coordination workflows and best practices.

• Proficiency in BIM software such as Revit, Navisworks, and AutoCAD.
• Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Experience in conducting clash detection and model audits.

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• 2-3 years of experience in a BIM-related role.
• Knowledge of industry standards such as ISO 19650.
• Familiarity with project management software and tools.

Up to 15% travel may be necessary.
