Senior Specialist - Quality Engineering
Role SummaryThe QA Automation Engineer will play a critical role in ensuring quality stability and release readiness for clients Commercial Auto Medium Fleet programs as part of the Horizon transformation initiative. This role focuses on automation first quality engineering for Duck Creek Policy implementations supporting Medium Fleet migration and enhancements. The ideal candidate brings strong Duck Creek Policy domain expertise, hands‑on test automation integrated with CICD pipelines, and working knowledge of client’s internal tools such as Falcon and Rater.
This role works closely with onshore stakeholders and partners across Product Engineering and Dev Ops teams to enforce quality gates and prevent production defects.
- Test Automation CICD Enablement: design, develop, and maintain automated test suites for Duck Creek Policy applications; integrate automated tests into CICD pipelines to support continuous testing and early defect detection; execute automated regression, integration, and smoke tests as part of sprint and release cycles; continuously enhance automation frameworks to improve reusability, scalability, and execution efficiency.
- Duck Creek Medium Fleet Quality Assurance: perform automation testing for Medium Fleet to Duck Creek migration state rollouts and ongoing enhancements; validate Duck Creek Policy configurations, manuscript rules, rating logic and policy transactions through automation.
- Partner closely with Developers, Business Analysts, and Dev Ops to implement and enforce quality gates; support defect triage, root‑cause analysis, retesting and release sign‑off activities.
- Tools & Frameworks Validation: develop and execute API automation and validation using Postman; utilize Falcon UI and Rater Progressive internal tools for functional regression and comparison testing as applicable; ensure adequate automation coverage across functional regression and integration scenarios aligned to release risk.
- 8–11 years of overall QA experience with a strong specialization in Automation Testing.
- Proven hands‑on experience building and maintaining automation frameworks integrated with CICD pipelines.
- Direct experience testing Duck Creek Policy applications OnPrem or DCOD.
- Experience supporting Medium Fleet Commercial Auto or similar insurance modernization migration programs.
- Strong experience working in Agile Dev Ops delivery models with onshore stakeholder collaboration.
- Core quality engineering, test design, development and execution.
- CICD pipeline integration and continuous testing.
- Regression integration and end‑to‑end testing.
- Defect tracking, triage and validation.
- Duck Creek Insurance domain expertise.
- Commercial Lines (CL) insurance domain knowledge.
- Medium Fleet fleet‑based policy lifecycle understanding.
- Policy transaction testing (Quote, Bind, Endorse, Renew, Cancel).
- Postman – API testing.
- CICD tools (Azure Dev Ops, Jenkins, or similar).
- Defect and work tracking (Azure Dev Ops, Jira).
- Falcon UI and Rater Progressive internal tools.
