Freshman and Upper Campus - traveling is required - Calendar: 180‑Day / School‑Year Employee
- Daily
Schedule:
Periods 1-5, Monday through Friday: 3 periods of SLP services, 1 period of case management & 1 prep period

- A Speech Language Pathologist endorsement is required
- A master’s degree from a program accredited by the American Speech‑Language Association is required
- Ability to train students, staff, and parents on augmentative communication devices and assistive technology
- Must perform all responsibilities, classroom and supervisory, in a professional manner as expected of all district educators.
- Provide high‑quality direct speech‑language therapy services to high school students according to students’ IEPs and 504 plans.
- Conduct assessments, analyze results, and write reports to determine strengths and concerns in the areas of speech, voice, fluency, pragmatics, and language development.
- Train students, staff, and parents on augmentative communication devices and assistive technology.
- Coordinate or serve as a member of an educational planning team.
- Serve as a resource to school staff members in developing a balanced program for oral communication, language skills, and speech improvement.
- Collaborate with classroom teachers and other school staff to implement therapy recommendations in students’ daily activities.
- Increase parents’ understanding and participation in resolving their student’s needs and informing them of appropriate resources available.
- Responsible for writing and implementing individual education plans and goals, goal updates, and speech/language evaluations.
- Attend IEP meetings, re‑evaluations, and evaluations as assigned.
- Maintain accurate and timely records to monitor student progress.
- Assess student progress toward targets and standards to provide feedback to students, parents, and educational teams.
- Understanding various formal and informal assessment strategies and using them to support the continuous development of students.
- Perform such other appropriate duties as may be assigned by the Director of Special Education.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Requires the ability to sit and/or stand for extended periods of time.
- Ability to move freely and perform duties in numerous locations throughout the day (involving the ability to stoop, bend, and reach as needed).
- Ability to occasionally move, lift, carry, pull, or push heavy objects or materials.
- Exposure to noise and activity of a school setting.
