Position: Financial Controller

We are recruiting for a experienced Financial Controller to oversee all aspects of the finance operation in a production / manufacturing business located in Co Meath.

You will be responsible for the financial operations of the business reporting to the managing director.

Job duties and responsibilities
* Preparation of monthly management accounts and financial pack and ensure accuracy of information contained.
* Prepare monthly cash flow forecast for inclusion in financial pack.
* Manage annual audit of accounts for the group, liaise with external auditors.
* Ensure accuracy and integrity of various accounting records and financial systems are in place.
* Manage existing finance and admin staff.
* Supervision of the payroll function.
* Asset reporting/register and depreciation.
* Effectively managing cash and treasury function, preparing monthly cash flow analysis.
* Liaising with auditors and tax advisers.
* Review costings and analysis of various cost centres across the business to ensure the most cost effective processes are in place.
* Manage and administer across all tax heads to include VAT, PAYE, RCT, and CIS.
* Prepare CapEx budgets and ongoing monitoring of same during projects.
* Prepare annual budget for the Group including Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet and Cashflow.
* Coordination of insurance renewals for the Group on an annual basis ensuring adequate cover is in place and manage all claims in conjunction with insurance broker.
* Secure lease finance where appropriate for plant and equipment capital expenditure.
* Other ongoing finance projects as required.

Experience:
* Experienced finance person working in a similar role as Financial Controller/Head of Finance/Senior Accountant within a Production or Manufacturing environment for at least 3 to 5 years, ideally within the Construction Sector.
* Must be a qualified Accountant
* Experience managing Staff and a finance team including admin support.
* Ideally some experience dealing with contracts
* Demonstrable business acumen.
* Excellent communications and negotiation skills
