We are seeking Software Quality engineers. This position will be located on‑site in our Aeronautics Systems Sector, Melbourne, FL. The qualified candidate will become part of Northrop Grumman’s Mission Assurance organization.
DutiesThe selected candidate will develop, modify, apply, and maintain quality evaluation and control systems and protocols for processing materials into partially finished or finished products. Other duties include:
- Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing functions to ensure quality standards are in place.
- Devise and implement methods and procedures for inspecting, testing, and evaluating the precision and accuracy of products and production equipment.
- Design and analyze inspection and testing processes, mechanisms, and equipment; conduct quality assurance tests; and perform statistical analysis to assess the cost of and determine responsibility for products or materials that do not meet required standards and specifications.
- Audit quality systems for deficiency identification and correction.
- Ensure that corrective measures meet acceptable reliability standards and that documentation is compliant with requirements.
- May specialize in areas such as design, incoming material, production control, product evaluation and reliability, inventory control, and/or research and development as they apply to product or process quality.
- May be certified in lean and six‑sigma quality engineering methodologies.
This requisition may be filled as either an Associate Engineer Software Quality or an Engineer Software Quality.
Basic Qualifications – Associate Engineer Software QualityA candidate, regardless of age and hiring source, must meet ALL of the following criteria:
- Be completing or has completed a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution by August 2026.
- Major in or have majored in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Industrial/Industrial & Systems Engineering, Data Science, Mathematics, or another related STEM degree.
- Be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Secret security clearance (U.S. citizenship is a prerequisite) as well as Special Access Program clearance within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business needs.
- Final approved U.S. Government Secret security clearance AND final Special Access Program clearance are required to start.
