Salary: £29,878 - £32,423 per annum, dependent on qualifications and experience

Job Purpose

Grŵp Llandrillo Menai has an exciting opportunity for a Junior Apprenticeship Coach to join our dedicated team based at the Llangefni campus. This rewarding role offers the chance to make a meaningful difference in the lives of young people aged 14-16 who attend college as part of their statutory education programme. As a key member of the Junior Apprenticeship team, you will provide high quality pastoral care, guidance, and mentoring, empowering learners to overcome barriers to learning and achieve successful outcomes.

As a Junior Apprenticeship Coach, you will provide dedicated pastoral and in class support to learners enrolled on Junior Apprenticeship programmes including:

  • Construction

You will also facilitate personal development activities, enrichment opportunities, active wellbeing sessions, and Personal and Social Education (PSE). This is a specialist role within a compulsory education framework. Learners remain on the roll of their home schools and attend college as part of a statutory programme. The position carries enhanced responsibilities relating to safeguarding, attendance, behaviour management, and learner engagement.

You will work collaboratively with curriculum staff, Junior Apprenticeship lecturers, schools, parents/guardians, and the Local Authority to ensure learners receive cohesive, holistic support. The role plays a central part in early intervention, attendance monitoring, behaviour support, personal development delivery, and transition planning.

  • Holiday Entitlement: 28 days leave per annum, rising to 32 days after 5 full holiday years' continuous service (01 September to 31 August). All normally observed public holidays, determined annually. Up to 5 days efficiency closure days per annum, determined annually.
