Job Description & How to Apply Below

Upland Engineers is a full-service firm specializing in land development and surveying, offering comprehensive support from concept to construction. Through collaboration with developers, architects, contractors, and municipalities, Upland Engineers delivers practical design solutions and reliable data to streamline project progress. We are committed to providing high-quality services that help clients achieve their development goals efficiently. We believe in growing engineers, not just projects.

Role Description

We are a growing civil engineering consultancy serving the Treasure Valley's dynamic land development market. As a Civil Engineer EI, you'll work alongside licensed PEs on residential subdivisions, commercial site plans, and mixed-use developments across the greater Treasure Valley region — one of the fastest-growing metros in the country.

This is an early-career position designed to grow into a full PE role. You'll get real project exposure from day one, mentorship toward your PE licensure, and a clear path for advancement as Idaho's development pipeline continues to expand.

Qualifications
  • Proficiency in Civil Engineering concepts, including grading, drainage, and utility design.
  • Experience with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and other related design software.
  • Understanding of surveying techniques and topographic data interpretation.
  • Strong ability in problem-solving, critical thinking, and analytical calculations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to interact with team members and external stakeholders effectively.
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field is required.
  • Familiarity with local municipal and state regulatory requirements is a plus.
