Tri-City Cardiology has been serving the healthcare needs of the East Valley for over 45 years. We are searching for a Cath Lab RN to join our team. If you enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and providing quality patient care, this may be an ideal position for you.

Position Location:

East Mesa (Power & Main)

Schedule:

PRN - 10 hour day shifts

Pay: $55.00 - $63.00 per hour

POSITION SUMMARY

This position assists the Clinical Manager RN in the daily clinical operations of Operating Room nursing in accordance with established Federal, State, and accreditation standards and ASC policies and procedures. This role utilizes nursing knowledge, judgment, and skills to provide appropriate care to meet the physical and developmental needs of the assigned patient, in coordination with physicians and staff. Direct patient care is provided in collaboration with physicians and associated staff.

Essential

Functions
  • Cares for the patient undergoing surgical procedures and ensures appropriate pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-operative nursing care in the ASC setting; contributes to patient outcomes through safe, timely, and efficient care.
  • Performs proper patient identification and verifies correct procedure, completeness of patient charts, and associated documents; communicates with ASC personnel to ensure continuity of care.
  • Supervises and directs patient care in a single operating/procedure room.
  • Maintains organization of the surgical center, including equipment, supplies, and personnel to ensure efficient procedural flow.
  • Transports patients to the operating/procedure room in accordance with safety requirements and patient needs.
  • Responsible for conscious sedation administration and hemodynamic monitoring according to ASC policies and procedures; manages and documents controlled substance inventory.
  • Documents patient care records and other forms accurately following policies and procedures.
  • Performs pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-operative assessments and cares for the patient including pain management, interventions, and documentation.
  • Demonstrates ability to provide clinical care instructions to patients and caregivers.
Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Current valid Arizona RN license.
  • Minimum of two years of Cardiology/Cath Lab experience required.
  • Conscious sedation experience required.
  • Current ACLS certification
  • Current BLS certification

Skills/Knowledge/Ability

  • 40 wpm typing.
  • Demonstrated critical thinking ability to prioritize, plan, and implement direct patient care.
  • Ability to make sound nursing judgment based on nursing theory.
  • Awareness of the role of nursing in the procedural/operating room.
  • Demonstrates primary nurse accountability through coordination, communication, and continuity of patient care.
  • Assumes responsibility for competency of practice and takes initiatives for professional development and continuing education.
  • Uses interpersonal skills to establish and maintain healthy relationships.
  • Good oral and written communication skills; demonstrates a high sense of urgency.
  • Ability to manage time appropriately.
  • Knowledge of basic computer and math skills; ability to read and interpret documents.
Eligibility

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Procedural/Operating Room experience preferred.
  • Patient education and triage experience preferred.
  • IV skills preferred.
