Forklift Driver​/Material Handler

Forklift Driver / Material Handler Performs daily activities in the warehouse to ensure safe and accurate receipt, storage and retrieval of inventory for production. Duties/Responsibilities:
Drives a forklift to move, locate, relocate, stack and count product Unloads delivery trucks using a forklift, pallet jack, hand cart, or by hand if necessary Ensures inbound shipments are accurate and free of damage; reports quality variances to the Receiving Clerk and Warehouse Supervisor Efficiently moves product to storage areas, and removes for staging to production line(s) in correct locations Pulls and prepares product for production, matching requests with the exact number and type of material Removes finished products from palletizer and places on storage racking Operates robot trolleys to store pallets in racking Other duties as may be assigned Required Skills/Abilities:
Knowledge of computerized inventory/tracking systems and barcoding preferred Ability to communicate effectively with a diverse group Proficient with reading and interpreting documents Adept with hand tools and mechanical equipment Able to handle working on and completing projects within tight deadlines while maintaining professionalism

Education and Experience:

1-2 years’ experience in warehouse forklift operations High School diploma or GED required Bi-lingual Spanish a plus Certified forklift experience, or the ability to pass certification test Supervisor Responsibilities:

Physical Requirements and

Working Conditions:

Majority of work occurs in a typical warehouse environment, operating a sit or stand forklift. Moderate walking and standing in the warehouse, interacting with staging personnel, unloaders/loaders and drivers. Exposure to heat, cold, dampness, humidity, slippery and uneven surfaces. Follow and adhere to all company safety policies and regulations. 10-hour shifts Monday – Thursday, or 8-hour shifts Monday – Friday, with an occasional need for overtime as required to complete activities.
