Tax Collector Supervisor

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelors degree in Public Administration, Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or a related field. One year of advanced clerical experience in tax collection, property appraisal, real estate, or related accounting environment is required. Additional experience may substitute for the required education on a year-for-year basis. A Paralegal Certificate may substitute for two years of the required education.

This is administrative and supervisory work overseeing facilities operations and maintenance support activities for the Miami-Dade County Office of the Tax Collector. Employees in this classification are responsible for supervising and coordinating facility maintenance, repair requests, operational projects, and building support activities across multiple Tax Collector locations. Responsibilities include overseeing maintenance personnel, coordinating with vendors, monitoring facility conditions, supporting operational readiness, and ensuring the timely completion of facility-related assignments.

The incumbent exercises independent judgment in prioritizing work assignments, resolving operational issues, coordinating resources, and implementing established procedures for facility operations and maintenance. Work also includes monitoring compliance with operational standards, safety procedures, and departmental policies.

Supervision is exercised over maintenance, and facilities support staff engaged in building maintenance, operational support, repairs, inspections, and related activities.
