Key Objective:

Successfully prepare Molds and Master patterns for production and mold lamination teams

Maintain schedule and quality

Job Specific

Duties and Responsibilities:

Wet/Dry sand master/mold surfaces and buff to a polished surface

Identify surface defects

Sand prep surfaces for spray repairs

Willing to work all shifts

Work on any special projects as needed

Do housekeeping and other job-related duties assigned by supervisor

Maintain department schedule to meet key milestones

Other duties may be assigned

Tape and prepare molds and master patterns for spraying

Make sure that molds and masters are clean with no contaminates before spraying

Wax finished tools in preparation for production part or mold builds

Ensure all operations are performed safely

Maintain all areas and keep equipment clean, neat, and organized at all times

Conduct daily routine maintenance of equipment

Store all materials safely at the end of the day Train Sander level employees.

Conduct operations using TDC fabrication approved processes (ISPC)
Proficiencies:

Use of quality assurance equipment, radius gauge, etc.

Surface inspection techniques

Composite fabrication

Sanding and buffing techniques

Qualifications

General knowledge and understanding of required power tools

Must be able to understand and execute top quality

Must be able to pass the strength/stress test and drug/alcohol screening contingent to the hiring process

Job requires standing and working in and around boats/molds throughout the entire dayMust work efficiently and in the safest manner possible, following all safety regulations at all time Education and/or

Experience:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language

Skills:

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

Mathematical

Skills:

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
