Position: Registered Nurse Trauma OR

Cooperidge Consulting Firm is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) Trauma OR for a top Healthcare client.

Job Responsibilities
  • Assume full responsibility and accountability for a designated group of surgical patients throughout the perioperative timeframe
  • Provide expert nursing care by utilizing the nursing process, specialized instrumentation, and therapeutic use of self in the high-acuity OR setting
  • Coordinate and prepare the operating room for trauma and emergency surgical cases, ensuring all equipment and supplies are readily available
  • Monitor the patient's physiological status during surgery, promptly reporting any changes to the surgeon and anesthesia provider
  • Collaborate effectively with the surgical team and other healthcare members to ensure a cohesive and safe surgical environment
  • Maintain strict adherence to all established policies, procedures, and safety standards within the operating room
  • Ensure accurate and timely documentation of all intraoperative care and interventions
Requirements
  • Education: Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing is required.
  • Experience: Minimum of two (2) years of Trauma OR or general Operating Room acute care experience is required. Must have direct experience in an acute care setting's Operating Room.
  • Certifications/Licenses:
    • Current Florida license as a Registered Nurse or Recognized Compact Licensure (subject to Florida State Licensing Requirements) is required.
    • Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) certification, or must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
    • Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification, or must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
  • Skills:
    • Proven expertise in surgical nursing, focusing on the specialized needs of trauma patients.
    • Demonstrated ability to function effectively under pressure in a high-stakes surgical environment.
    • Strong collaboration and communication skills for working within a multidisciplinary surgical team.
