RN, RN Nurse, Surgical Assistant

The Operating Room RN is responsible for the observation, assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation of care for all patients undergoing surgery. This role requires proficiency in scrubbing and circulating across various service lines, ensuring optimized patient care during surgical procedures.

• Assist in surgical procedures including joint replacements, ENT, ortho, spine, urology, vascular, podiatry, thoracic surgery, and plastic surgery.
• Maintain patient safety and comfort during surgical interventions.
• Work collaboratively with a team of healthcare professionals including charge nurses, technical staff, and clinical coordinators.
• Monitor and document patient vitals and conditions accurately.
• Participate in the on-call rotation as required.

• Active RN license.
• ACLS and BLS certifications.
• A minimum of 2 years current experience in an acute operating room setting, with specific experience in orthopedic, spine, and joint replacement procedures.
• Preferred certifications include PALS and CNOR.
• Charge nurse experience is a plus.
