Job Summary
The ultimate aim of a sales development representative is to expand a company's customer base. The sales development representative will generate leads, solicit new potential customers, and connect them with the right salesperson. This role will actively promote Ryder service offerings, with a key focus on cross-selling across Ryder’s business segments to deliver integrated, end-to-end solutions.
Essential Functions- Represent Ryder’s products and services with comprehensive knowledge, offering solutions that align with customer needs, including promotion of Ryder’s Port-to-Door capabilities.
- Move leads through the marketing funnel, connect them to the right salesperson, and arrange meetings via emails or phone calls.
- Identify and drive cross-selling opportunities across Ryder business segments to maximize customer value and solution adoption.
- Follow up with potential customers who expressed interest across all Ryder service offerings.
- Work closely with other Sales teams to develop account intelligence, relationship maps, and use case opportunities through direct account engagement and marketing tools.
- Load all customer interactions into CRM and set up proper follow-up activities for optimum account conversion.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Provide feedback on customer-requested platform features and enhancements.
- Continuous improvement in all segments of the business.

- Ability to create and maintain professional relationships within all levels of the organization (peers, work groups, customers, supervisors).

- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics, or related field or two (2) additional years of required experience.
- One (1) year or more business-related experience required.
- MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.) intermediate required.

CompensationHourly pay. Minimum $60,000, maximum $65,000. The position may also be eligible to receive an annual bonus, commission, and/or long‑term incentive plan based on the level and/or type.
